Senior Specialist – Valuations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct portfolio valuations for VC/PE funds and assess business valuations of early-stage venture-backed firms with intricate capital structures, complying with AICPA fair value standards.

• Direct client engagements, which include collecting and reviewing source data, managing projects, communicating timelines and deliverables, and providing audit support.

• Establish valuations for new clients during the onboarding process.

• Facilitate training sessions regarding platform usage.

• Aid the Implementation team in interpreting financial and legal onboarding documents.

• Address client inquiries and resolve issues alongside the Client Engagement and Support teams.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of proprietary valuation models and software platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience specifically related to ASC 820.

• Strong comprehension of private market valuation methodologies, including Black-Scholes OPM.

• Capability to conduct valuations for VC/PE portfolios and early-stage companies with complex capital structures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.

• Indefinite right to work in the United States.

• Post-graduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

• CPA, CFA, or other relevant designations are preferred.

• Familiarity with SaaS business models is preferred.
