Senior Specialist, Technical Evaluations – Proposals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +36 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess RFI/RFPs and engage with potential clients to formulate a proposal strategy

• Create comprehensive proposals for advanced R&D, technology platforms, process and analytical development, along with GMP manufacturing services

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to support scope revisions and guide programs from proposal to contract execution

• Work alongside Sales & Business Management and Commercial Development to establish profitable pricing for programs

• Integrate contractual terms within proposals

• Oversee the proposal pipeline and manage the critical proposal development process

• Submit proposals and estimates in accordance with commitments to meet customer expectations

• Undertake assigned technical evaluations and proposal process projects

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Assist in costing and pricing analysis for the opportunity funnel

• Collaborate with Sales & BD during pre-proposal, post-proposal, customer discussions, and site visits

• Work with global subject matter experts and internal teams to create approved program pricing and timelines

⛳️ Requirements

• Basic understanding of Biologics and/or Sterile Drug Product manufacturing and the drug development lifecycle

• Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational and time management abilities

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Robust analytical capabilities

• Self-motivated and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks

• Ability to function efficiently in a matrix-team environment

• Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize in an entrepreneurial setting

• Proficient in MS Word and/or MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

• Willingness to travel (≤ 10%) and work non-standard hours (flexible management)

• 2-4 years of experience in the bio/pharmaceutical R&D and/or manufacturing industry, specifically in CDMO

• 0-3 years of experience in technical evaluation and proposal development

• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM

• Previous experience in a customer-facing position

• Relevant skills in program management, sales, business, or technical expertise are highly valued

• Prior experience in writing Drug Product proposals is highly regarded

• Sponsorship or support for work authorization, including visas, is not available
