Senior Solutions Engineer – US West

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Executives to assess, advance, and finalize revenue opportunities with Fortune 500 clients.

• Manage the technical relationship with potential clients throughout the pre-sales process, aiming for a technical victory.

• Showcase the Coder platform from the perspectives of developers, administrators, and AI-agent workflows.

• Implement Coder on both cloud and on-premises Kubernetes or VM infrastructure.

• Conduct proofs-of-concept that illustrate Coder’s benefits for agentic and LLM-powered development workflows.

• Build expertise in Cloud Development Environments, agentic AI development, and the associated business impact.

• Convey client and prospect feedback to the Engineering and Product teams.

• Monitor and document product issues and feature requests using Linear.

• Diagnose Coder deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components during evaluation phases.

• Contribute pull requests to enhance Coder documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer in selling infrastructure or developer tooling.

• Exceptional customer-facing abilities with technical stakeholders.

• Proficient in translating technical challenges into business value on the fly.

• Knowledge of agentic AI software development applications.

• Experience in leading architectural demonstrations and conducting in-depth troubleshooting sessions.

• Strong foundation in Linux and command-line skills.

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

• More than 3 years of experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of networking, including ingress controllers, proxies, and load balancers.

• Experience with AI tools at both user and infrastructure levels, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, model proxies, and LLM routing layers like LiteLLM.

• Capability to discuss enterprise evaluation and adoption of AI tools credibly.

• Ability to work at startup speed, demonstrate ownership, and adopt a player-coach mindset.

• Bonus: Proven success in high-growth startups and larger software companies.

• Bonus: Experience in deploying or supporting AI coding agents in client environments.

• Bonus: Background in CI/CD, DevOps, or developer-platform products.
