Senior Solutions Engineer, Injection Molding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Lead discovery discussions with Sales to identify business and technical requirements and align them with Xometry solutions.

• Act as the technical intermediary between molding teams and clients.

• Advise prospects and clients on suitable technology applications and develop the business case.

• Showcase Xometry's capabilities, including its software quoting platform, to engineers and executives.

• Collaborate with product, sales, quoting, and engineering teams; offer customer insights and contribute to case studies and marketing materials.

• Represent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events, webinars, and within the injection molding community.

• Be the internal authority on injection molding and related processes, encompassing tooling, mold design, and process capability.

• Manage projects and oversee complex opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Authentic manufacturing and process experience in injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, and insert molding; hands-on, shop-floor experience is highly desirable.

• Outgoing communicator who is comfortable engaging in technical discussions and delivering executive presentations.

• Technical empathy with the capability to bridge the gap between technical and business language.

• Consultative approach to problem-solving.

• Experience in preparing and presenting technical solutions within business proposals.

• Self-driven and adept at managing multiple long-term projects with minimal supervision in a dynamic startup setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

• Engineering degree (Mechanical or Plastics preferred) or a related technical degree.

• 5–7+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical domain.

• Proven project management and presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in CAD and technical drawing.

• Expertise in areas such as New Product Development, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, GD&T, Mold Design, ISO Certifications, PPAP, and Inspection.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
