
Senior Solutions Engineer, Injection Molding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Facilitate discovery discussions with Sales to identify business and technical needs and align them with Xometry solutions.
• Act as the technical intermediary between molding teams and clients.
• Advise prospects and customers on suitable applications of Xometry’s technology and develop the business case.
• Showcase Xometry’s capabilities, including its software quoting platform, to engineers and executives.
• Collaborate with product, sales, quoting, and engineering teams.
• Relay customer insights back to the business and assist in creating case studies and marketing materials.
• Represent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events, webinars, and within the injection molding community.
• Act as the internal subject-matter expert on injection molding and related processes, such as tooling, mold design, and process capability.
• Oversee project management for complex opportunities.
• Background in manufacturing and processes related to injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, and insert molding; hands-on, floor-level experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in preparing and presenting technical solutions as part of business proposals.
• Self-driven and capable of managing multiple long-term projects with minimal supervision in a dynamic startup environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; Mechanical or Plastics engineering preferred.
• 5–7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a technical role.
• Demonstrated skills in project management and effective presentation.
• Proficient in CAD and technical drawing.
• Expertise in areas including New Product Development, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, GD&T, Mold Design, ISO Certifications, PPAP, and Inspection.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Capability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
