This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +4 more states.
• Take ownership of the technical sales process from initial meetings through post-sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, upselling, and managing subscription renewals.
• Address customers’ technical needs and identify new use cases for Cloudera technology.
• Create customer solutions utilizing Cloudera technologies, reference architectures, and established patterns.
• Showcase Cloudera products to secure customer commitments.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to convey the solution's value and operational outcomes, driving sales efforts.
• Present the product roadmap and vision to stakeholders.
• Engage with Cloudera teams to maintain consistent communication with customers.
• Advocate for customer needs within Product Management and Engineering departments.
• Participate in conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs, and other forms of external evangelism.
• Align personal achievements with team objectives, annual sales goals, and knowledge sharing with colleagues and the broader community.
• Empower federal civilian agencies to convert complex data into actionable insights to support mission needs.
• At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a pre-sales context.
• Proficient in creating and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Familiarity with Big Data, Data Warehousing, or Relational Databases.
• Experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
• Knowledge of Operations, Security, and Data Governance within the enterprise context.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with private cloud infrastructure and platforms, including distributed container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Spark, Airflow, NiFi, Kafka, and Flink.
• Experience with Unix or Linux systems.
• Ability to gather and comprehend customer requirements effectively.
• Understanding of federal civilian agencies and their specific data and analytics needs.
• Awareness of US Federal Public Sector regulations and authorization frameworks/processes/publications, such as FISMA, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 140, FedRAMP, and STIG.
• Security clearance preferred (DOE Q clearance).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Confident in presenting to large groups and utilizing storytelling techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
