Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

• Serve as the technical authority during all client interactions.

• Maintain the relationship from the initial demonstration through to a live, scalable deployment and beyond.

• Ensure clients remain technically sound, operationally resilient, and continuously expanding.

• Manage the pre-sales technical outcomes from start to finish.

• Equip enterprise prospects to leave every interaction with a strong technical conviction.

• Define and align Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to address the essential questions.

• Validate integration proposals for technical credibility prior to contract signing.

• Be the expert on integrating all product SDKs, APIs, and solutions.

• Guarantee that new clients are launched on time and to a standard that promotes further expansion.

• Actively oversee platform performance risks in all live deployments.

• Serve as a trusted senior advisor to client technical leads, architects, engineers, and security teams.

• Convert field intelligence into actionable insights for the commercial team and product leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6 - 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales technical consulting, or technical implementation within the enterprise B2B technology sector.

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.

• An Honours degree or relevant undergraduate qualification is preferred; equivalent practical experience in a technically complex enterprise B2B setting will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

• Demonstrated ownership of both pre-sales and post-sales technical relationships, encompassing not just demonstrations but also live deployments and ongoing client relationships.

• Proven success in establishing trusted technical relationships with enterprise clients at the architect and C-suite levels.

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: biometric identity, KYC/AML, fintech/regtech, cybersecurity, identity & access management, or enterprise SaaS.

• Familiarity with regulated industries, such as financial services, telecommunications, or government, is a significant advantage.

• Strong proficiency in API and SDK-driven integration environments, capable of designing, troubleshooting, and delivering solutions across REST APIs, mobile SDKs (iOS and Android), and web delivery without needing assistance.

• Sufficient expertise in cloud, observability, and data tooling to independently diagnose live client issues, able to navigate requests across services and assess failure modes.

• Data and scripting skills adequate to respond to client inquiries regarding session outcomes, throughput, and error patterns without relying on engineering support.

• Code-literate in the relevant stack to effectively assist client integration teams.

• Solid understanding of enterprise security and privacy regulations - POPIA, GDPR, FICA, ISO 27001 - and their influence on integration design in regulated settings.

• Exceptional at utilizing AI tools to enhance pre-sales content, troubleshooting, product demo applications, and documentation, and capable of articulating its value convincingly in client discussions.
