Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Deliver impactful product enhancements that remove barriers to strategic agreements and broaden Fleetio's commitments to key clients.

• Work alongside Sales and Customer Success teams to grasp constraints, deadlines, and customer workflows; transform these insights into precise requirements and implementation strategies.

• Develop solutions that adhere to Fleetio’s product and engineering standards, which include testing, observability, maintainability, and comprehensive documentation.

• Collaborate with peers in Product, Design, and Engineering to make practical scope decisions and deliver incrementally.

• Maintain proactive and clear communication regarding tradeoffs, risks, and project timelines.

• Fulfill scoped and funded commitments as robust Fleetio products that can be supported like the rest of the platform.

• Have a direct impact on outcomes for key accounts and assist in closing some of Fleetio’s most significant deals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.

• At least 2 years of experience with React.

• Proven track record of building and deploying production web applications with an emphasis on quality and maintainability.

• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders, translating their needs into technical blueprints, and managing expectations effectively.

• Capability to break down complex requests into manageable milestones and deliver incrementally.

• Excellent written communication skills and comfort in a remote, asynchronous work environment.

• Preferred: Experience with large-scale Ruby on Rails applications.

• Preferred: Experience in developing customer-facing platform/product functionalities that cater to enterprise accounts.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with go-to-market teams (Sales, Customer Success) to deliver on time-sensitive commitments.
