This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take charge of discovery, technical qualification, solution design, demonstrations, and proofs of value for enterprise and strategic opportunities.
• Convert customer challenges such as phishing, brand abuse, C2 discovery, third-party risk, fraud, DFIR, threat hunting, and exposure management into DomainTools workflows.
• Design and advocate for integration architectures with SIEM, SOAR, TIP, XDR, and data platforms.
• Act as the technical trusted advisor from the initial call through to renewal.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to guarantee successful production adoption.
• Conduct executive briefings and in-depth technical sessions.
• Provide field insights to Product and Engineering to influence the product roadmap.
• Develop reusable technical assets, including demo environments, integration recipes, IrisQL playbooks, MCP workflows, and reference architectures.
• Work alongside Account Executives on named-account strategies, competitive positioning, executive relationships, and pipeline health.
• Represent DomainTools at events, customer advisory boards, and practitioner communities.
• Over 4 years of experience in a customer-facing technical position — Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, TAM, or a threat intelligence/SOC practitioner who has transitioned into pre-sales.
• Proficient with the security buyer; capable of engaging with SOC directors, threat intelligence leads, and CISOs.
• Solid understanding of DNS, WHOIS/RDAP, passive DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP, and the fundamentals of internet infrastructure abuse.
• Practical experience with at least one SIEM, one SOAR, and one TIP.
• Experience in building or troubleshooting integrations.
• Comfortable with RESTful APIs, JSON, and scripting, preferably with Python.
• Ability to read code, prototype with it, and conduct live demonstrations.
• Exceptional demo and whiteboard presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer meetings, events, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
• Previous experience at a threat intelligence, DNS, network security, or SOC-tooling vendor.
• Familiarity with agentic/LLM-driven security workflows, MCP servers, or security data lakes.
• Understanding of federal, DoD, IC, or allied-government purchasing processes and accreditation standards, including FedRAMP, IL4/5, IRAP, and their equivalents.
• Background as a former analyst, incident responder, threat hunter, or Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) practitioner.
