This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +3 more countries.
• Take ownership of the technical strategy for enterprise engagements from the initial call to production deployment.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to assess, design, and finalize deals within the Asia-Pacific client market.
• Serve as a Technical Account Manager for a portfolio of established enterprise clients.
• Discover new use cases, opportunities for expansion, and potential upsell avenues.
• Advocate on behalf of customers while coordinating efforts with Account Executives and internal teams.
• Design vector search architectures suitable for high-scale workloads, including multi-tenant agentic systems, hybrid search pipelines, and low-latency retrieval at a billion-vector scale.
• Develop production-ready proof-of-concept systems that showcase Qdrant’s performance benefits.
• Provide guidance to customers on AI infrastructure choices, transitioning from legacy databases, avoiding architectural lock-in, and deployment across cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped environments.
• Contribute to reference architectures, technical documentation, and reusable proof-of-concept frameworks to enhance the field engineering knowledge repository.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-sales or solutions engineering.
• Ideally, a background in data infrastructure or systems architecture.
• A demonstrable history of managing technical qualification and proof-of-concept initiatives within an active sales cycle.
• Experience in designing or managing distributed systems, search infrastructures, or data pipelines at a production level.
• Preferably, hands-on experience with RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with LLMs, embedding models, and agentic frameworks is expected.
• Ideally, a working knowledge of MEDDICC/MEDDPICC or a structured sales qualification methodology.
• Capability to apply qualification frameworks in real deal discussions and relate technical choices to business results and deal strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience with vector search, approximate nearest neighbor algorithms, or semantic retrieval systems is advantageous.
• A background in Rust, C++, or other systems programming languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, hybrid cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped deployment environments is also beneficial.
