Senior Solutions Engineer – AI Natives Business

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Influence the future of the big data domain by assisting advanced data engineering and data science teams.

• Work collaboratively with clients, product teams, and the wider customer-facing group to create architectures and solutions utilizing the Databricks platform and APIs.

• Provide guidance to customers regarding the competitive landscape, best practices, and implementation strategies.

• Cultivate technical champions within the customer base.

• Collaborate with the sales team and deliver technical expertise to illustrate how Databricks addresses business challenges.

• Offer consultation on Big Data architectures and execute proofs of concept for key data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis initiatives.

• Confirm integrations with cloud services, proprietary tools, and third-party applications.

• Work alongside fellow Solutions Architects to assist users effectively.

• Become proficient in, advocate for, and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a related pre-sales/consulting position.

• Proven experience in constructing distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging with Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with building solutions utilizing public cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Expertise in data engineering tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, or in data science and machine learning technologies including pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites within your region.

• Remote position; preference for Pacific Time zone, with Mountain Time zone considered.

• A degree in a quantitative field is preferred.

• Databricks Certification is a plus.
