Senior Solutions Architect – Services Presales, Microsoft Fabric, Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales teams to gain insight into client needs, objectives, and challenges.

• Design and present customized solutions that meet both business and technical requirements.

• Facilitate discovery sessions, technical workshops, and assessments.

• Develop technical proposals that include solution architecture, implementation roadmaps, and cost estimates.

• Guide the creation of statements of work in coordination with cross-functional teams.

• Propel revenue growth by identifying opportunities and enhancing service offerings.

• Design and architect comprehensive Microsoft Fabric data solutions.

• Offer subject matter expertise and technical leadership in Microsoft Fabric.

• Implement best practices for OneLake architecture, data pipelines, and data warehousing.

• Oversee the design of Azure data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions.

• Create ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline architectures.

• Architect data warehouses, data lakes, real-time streaming, and processing solutions.

• Utilize Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure as code.

• Provide advice on performance tuning and optimization for Azure data systems.

• Collaborate with Data Governance and AI Architects on governed data pipelines and AI/ML infrastructure.

• Leverage Purview to enhance data engineering workflows.

• Conduct client discovery sessions and deliver technical proposals, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, offering technical guidance and leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.

• Extensive practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.

• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.

• Strong presales experience centered on data architecture and engineering.

• In-depth expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, data warehousing, and real-time analytics.

• Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline design.

• Experience with real-time data streaming and processing.

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong skills in client relationship management.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.

• Preferred Microsoft certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure Data Analyst Associate (DA-100/DA-200), and Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300).
