Senior Solutions Architect – SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver architect-level insight and expertise in modern security operations and exposure management.

• Lead intricate client architecture projects from initial discovery to final executive presentation.

• Evaluate the current state of clients and provide strategic, tactical, and operational recommendations.

• Design target-state architectures for threat and exposure management.

• Establish risk scoring, remediation service level agreements (SLAs), and accountability models.

• Design AI capabilities, including agentic enrichment, automated remediation routing, executive reporting, and closed-loop validation.

• Integrate detection and exposure operations into a threat-informed feedback loop.

• Oversee asset inventory, findings normalization, and decisions regarding the security data pipeline.

• Create and maintain reference architectures, assessment frameworks, and packaged solutions.

• Collaborate with Security Solutions teams, regional groups, Managed Services, and Service Delivery.

• Develop training and certification materials for architects and sales professionals.

• Act as a senior technical counterpart to key Security Operations partners.

• Assist account teams with solution design, competitive positioning, proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and technical validation.

• Provide expert knowledge on AI in security operations, AI-assisted triage, LLM-based detection engineering, agentic workflows, and agent governance.

• Represent Trace3 through speaking engagements, publications, briefings, and industry events.

• Mentor solutions architects, early-career professionals, and interns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or significant knowledge and experience from established industry, military, defense, or government operations.

• Over 8 years of experience in security operations, exposure management, or both.

• Background in a customer-facing presales, solutions architecture, or technology consulting role within a VAR, systems integrator, consultancy, or technology vendor.

• Extensive expertise in at least two of the following areas: SIEM/SOAR platforms; endpoint/EDR/XDR; threat, exposure, and vulnerability management; identity and cloud telemetry integration.

• Experience in designing target-state security operations architectures, platform consolidation, migration strategy, detection-as-code, exposure-as-code, and SOC and exposure operating models.

• Proven experience in designing or managing a risk-based vulnerability management or CTEM program at the enterprise level.

• Familiarity with CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, SSVC, and threat intelligence enrichment.

• Knowledge of attack path analysis, breach and attack simulation, and adversarial validation.

• Hands-on experience in building, evaluating, or managing AI-assisted security operations and exposure management capabilities.

• Understanding of NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, MITRE D3FEND, ISO 27001, and CTEM-aligned exposure frameworks.

• Experience with at least one major cloud service provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Capability to conduct workshops, assessments, executive briefings, and provide clear reporting and recommendations.

• Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation, presentations, plans, and roadmaps.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer presentation, organizational, time management, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25–35% and possess a valid driver's license.
