This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Spearhead technical discovery initiatives with enterprise clients, aligning technical needs with business objectives and measurable success indicators.
• Craft enterprise-level data transformation and analytics frameworks utilizing dbt.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to articulate the technical and business advantages of the dbt platform.
• Oversee customer assessments and technical validations, which may include trials and proof-of-value sessions as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with technical practitioners, data leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Guide clients through considerations regarding technical architecture, security, governance, and deployment.
• Facilitate the successful adoption of solutions by customers and identify potential for growth throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Convey insights from customers and the field to Product and Engineering to shape product strategy and roadmap.
• Cultivate partnerships with technology and consulting firms, including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and other members of the modern data ecosystem.
• Provide technical knowledge, reusable best practices, and thought leadership to the Field Engineering team and the dbt community.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical position in data, analytics, or BI.
• Solid technical background in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary cloud data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytics architectures.
• Capability to identify and convert technical and business requirements into actionable solutions and measurable results.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the skill to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in establishing credibility and fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders, from data practitioners to senior executives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while collaborating effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams.
• Familiarity with dbt or analytics engineering.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or other advanced cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling methodologies such as dimensional modeling, Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF.
• Experience with enterprise data integration or ETL platforms like Informatica, Boomi, or Talend.
• Proven track record supporting complex enterprise technical evaluations, migrations, or transformation projects.
