This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive finance solution design for clients in financial services and insurance sectors.
• Convert finance outcomes into actionable decisions regarding processes, accounting, data, and systems.
• Lead discovery and Phase 0 initiatives, generating target architectures, design choices, delivery alternatives, and phased roadmaps.
• Manage the complete Financials design encompassing record to report, Foundation Data Model (FDM), chart of accounts, work tags, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, intercompany transactions, and reporting.
• Define the integration of Workday Financials, Prism Analytics, and Accounting Center with operational platforms, accounting systems, and reporting tools.
• Address the flows of insurance premiums and claims, commissions, reinsurance balances, and reporting dimensions.
• Establish design governance across functional, data, integration, reporting, and security teams.
• Guide the delivery process through testing, cutover, and stabilization phases.
• Review configurations and prototypes while ensuring reconciliations and readiness evidence are in place.
• Assist go-to-market and account teams with discovery sessions, demonstrations, proposals, and estimations.
• Create sector-specific reference architectures, decision guides, recipe cards, and reusable accelerators.
• Mentor lead consultants and architects while reviewing solution quality.
• Evaluate Workday releases and identify automation opportunities.
• Extensive experience with Workday Financials across multiple deployments.
• Proven ownership of cross-functional solution design and experience through go-live phases, major post-deployment changes, or significant relevant client-side sector experience.
• In-depth practical knowledge of Foundation Data Model (FDM), financial accounting, and reporting.
• Broad experience across procure to pay, customer to cash, banking and settlement, and asset management.
• Direct experience in finance transformation or delivery within at least one financial services and insurance (FSI) subsector.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including general ledger and subledger relationships, reconciliations, closing and consolidation, as well as multi-entity or multi-currency reporting.
• Capability to evaluate the applicability of Prism Analytics and Accounting Center.
• Experience in assessing integration, migration, security, and reporting dependencies.
• Proven ability to lead senior customer workshops, reconcile competing requirements, document decisions, estimate work, and communicate commercial implications.
• Experience in coaching consultants and evaluating delivery quality.
• Relevant current or prior Workday Financials certification, with a commitment to maintaining or renewing required certifications.
• Desirable: depth of knowledge in the insurance sector.
• Desirable: hands-on experience with Workday Prism Analytics or Accounting Center, along with relevant certifications.
• Desirable: recognized accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, or equivalent professional experience.
• Desirable: familiarity with Adaptive Planning, Workday Extend, or finance automation.
• Desirable: experience in building reusable sector assets, leading finance architecture across jurisdictions, or supporting customer finance teams post-deployment.
