Senior Solutions Architect – Data, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete solution architecture for intricate enterprise Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI projects.

• Design AI-driven analytics frameworks that integrate enterprise data, ML models, AI agents, conversational analytics, and contemporary user experiences.

• Create architectures for Generative AI, RAG, natural-language analytics, and agentic AI workflows.

• Develop ML/AI enablement features, including feature stores, model serving, and MLOps pipelines.

• Construct analytics solutions on state-of-the-art cloud data platforms, especially GCP and BigQuery.

• Set architecture patterns for semantic layers, dimensional models, governed metrics and KPIs, certified datasets, and self-service analytics.

• Specify how analytics and AI solutions utilize enterprise data through governed data products, semantic models, feature stores, APIs, and sanctioned integration patterns.

• Convert enterprise reference architectures and standards into actionable project-level designs while ensuring architectural consistency throughout the delivery process.

• Collaborate with teams from Enterprise Architecture, Data Platform, AI, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Governance.

• Facilitate architecture reviews and contribute to ADRs, KDDs, reference architectures, and reusable solution patterns.

• Establish architectural standards focusing on performance, scalability, security, observability, cost efficiency, and operational supportability.

• Integrate FinOps, lineage, metadata, data quality, access controls, and security prerequisites into solution designs.

• Lead proofs of concept and technological assessments.

• Act as a technical escalation point for intricate architecture decisions and design trade-offs.

• Guide architects, engineers, analysts, and other technical professionals while remaining actively involved in projects.

• Articulate architecture decisions, recommendations, risks, and trade-offs to technical teams and senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in Data and Analytics.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in architecting enterprise analytics solutions.

• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to architects and senior technical professionals.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in designing analytics solutions on modern cloud data platforms, preferably GCP and BigQuery.

• Strong background in enterprise BI and analytics technologies such as Looker, LookML, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Profound expertise in dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, semantic layers, and governed enterprise metrics.

• Familiarity with dbt, feature stores, model serving, and MLOps.

• In-depth understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, natural-language analytics, and agentic workflows.

• Experience in designing ML/AI solutions using Vertex AI or comparable enterprise cloud AI platforms.

• Background in working within formal architecture governance frameworks, including ADRs/KDDs, architecture review boards, reference architectures, and pattern libraries.

• Experience in integrating analytics solutions with enterprise data platforms through governed interfaces and shared architectural standards.

• Strong knowledge of performance, scalability, security, observability, FinOps, and operational supportability.

• Ability to assess complex technical alternatives and make informed architecture decisions based on business and technical needs.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.

• Capability to function as a player-coach while remaining technically engaged.

• TOGAF, DAMA CDMP, or equivalent architecture/data management certifications.

• Industry experience in supply chain, distribution, retail, or food services.
