Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the lead technical architect throughout the pursuit lifecycle within a collaborative growth team.

• Deliver comprehensive thought leadership for proposal submissions, encompassing technical solutions, staffing plans, implementation timelines, and Basis of Estimate.

• Create technical documentation, white papers, statements of work, briefings, and proposals.

• Collaborate with teaming partners to craft technical solutions, integrate partner capabilities, and assist with pricing strategies.

• Investigate innovative approaches and technologies to enhance solution innovation and effectiveness.

• Assist in capturing business and technical requirements and relay them to audiences with diverse technical expertise.

• Guide and mentor junior staff in responding to RFIs and RFPs.

• Conduct interviews with SMEs and incorporate technical insights into proposal materials.

• Oversee technical strategy and proposal submissions, which include technical solutions, staffing strategies, implementation considerations, BOE contributions, and related technical documents.

• Collaborate with Amentum Business Development account managers, Capture Managers, SMEs, and Solutions Architects to formulate technical solutions and proposal submissions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain and uphold a Secret clearance; US citizenship is necessary for acquiring a Secret clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in FAR-compliant and OTA Federal technical solutions development, including roles as a technical architect or in complex Federal proposals.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline; an additional 8+ years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

• Strong background in systems engineering with experience in multidisciplinary systems integration.

• Practical experience in architecting technical solutions for federal proposals.

• Demonstrated ownership of technical proposal sections or complete technical volumes for complex RFI and RFP responses.

• Ability to interpret customer requirements, capture strategies, compliance obligations, and technical inputs into clear proposal narratives.

• In-depth understanding of the federal growth lifecycle, which includes Business Development, capture, solutioning, proposal writing, and customer positioning.

• Exceptional technical writing abilities.

• Experience in interviewing SMEs and transforming technical insights into structured proposal content.

• Background in systems engineering, mission IT, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, operations and maintenance, or mission support.

• Experience working with teaming partners to merge capabilities, solution strategies, and support pricing or Basis of Estimate contributions.

• Proven knowledge of AI and ML platforms and tools.

• Preferred: expertise in systems engineering related to space operations, satellite C2, ground systems, MBSE, enterprise cloud/DevSecOps, and applied AI/ML.

• Preferred: ITIL or AWS Solutions Architect certification.

• Preferred: certifications such as CISSP or PMP.

• Master’s degree is preferred.
