This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Take full ownership of the solution architecture for Salesforce projects across commercial, R&D, clinical, and patient services.
• Develop data models, security frameworks, integration architectures, and define platform boundaries.
• Facilitate discovery and design workshops with business and IT stakeholders from the client’s side.
• Transform vague requirements into well-documented, implementable designs.
• Create solution design documents, reference architecture diagrams, data models, integration specifications, and technical decision logs.
• Make informed decisions regarding build, configure, or buy strategies and defend your choices.
• Design integrations with life sciences data ecosystems and related analytics platforms.
• Set architectural boundaries concerning governor limits, handling large data volumes, sharing, visibility, and managing technical debt.
• Act as the senior technical owner responsible for solution quality, mitigating technical risks, and ensuring design credibility.
• Collaborate with delivery leads and project managers to estimate efforts, define sprint scope, sequence tasks, and plan releases.
• Manage technical change orders and provide estimates.
• Lead the resolution of stalled builds and escalate trade-offs while providing recommendations.
• Represent solutions in client architecture review boards, security evaluations, and validation discussions.
• Guide both onshore US and offshore India development teams through task assignments, design reviews, and code evaluations.
• Conduct internal training sessions on Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, integration patterns, and the business context of life sciences.
• Develop reusable design templates, accelerators, coding standards, and delivery methodologies.
• Organize distributed work, manage handoffs, and set review checkpoints across different time zones.
• Mentor architects and senior developers, also participating in technical interviews and recruitment processes.
• Assist in presales activities through solution shaping, architecture presentations, estimation models, and client-facing discussions.
• Contribute to the intellectual property of the practice and competitive positioning.
• Provide strategic advice to clients regarding the Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and Health Cloud roadmap.
• A minimum of 10 years in enterprise technology delivery.
• At least 7 years of experience on the Salesforce platform.
• A minimum of 3 years in a solution architect or lead architect role.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device clients.
• Proficient in commercial, medical, clinical, and patient services operations.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Health Cloud.
• Direct experience with Veeva CRM or Veeva Vault CRM.
• Proven track record of personally creating solution design documents, data models, and integration specifications.
• Experience in enterprise integration using MuleSoft, Workato, or Boomi.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures, and batch data flows.
• Experience leading development teams, including offshore resources, with accountability for technical deliverables and team growth.
• Established credibility with client directors and executives.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Basic understanding of GxP, computer system validation, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Certifications are not mandatory.
• Preferred: background in consulting or systems integration.
• Preferred: experience with Veeva-to-Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud migration or displacement.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Data 360, or Agentforce design.
• Preferred: exposure to Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Growth, or Marketing Cloud Advanced.
• Preferred: familiarity with IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, MMIT, Veeva Network, Reltio, or Informatica.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce DevOps and release management tools, including SFDX, CI/CD pipelines, Copado, or Gearset.
• Preferred: knowledge of Advanced Therapy Management.
• Preferred: experience contributing to reusable accelerators or productized offerings.
