Senior Solution Architect – Lead Automation Engineer, GreenTech/Recycling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the technical and operational execution of the three-year roadmap.

• Collaborate with the part-time CTO to shape the mid- and long-term technology and automation strategy.

• Make informed make-or-buy decisions and plan the transition from no-code to proprietary systems.

• Offer technical leadership to the IT team member and establish tactics for daily operations.

• Continuously enhance internal IT processes and assist with complex troubleshooting and failure analysis.

• Provide operational support in daily business activities and independently complete tasks as necessary.

• Optimize no-code automation platforms, data entry tools, and the company's ERP system.

• Define data structures and prepare the tech stack for IT audits, ERP integrations, and AI integrations.

• Implement best practices for no-code and software development.

• Set up development and staging environments, implement error handling, automated error monitoring, tracking, and thorough documentation.

• Conduct technical reviews and supply high-quality test data and test environments.

• Design sustainable solutions, standardized data models, and protocols.

• Advise Product Owners, Business Development, and implementation teams.

• Support or take the lead on complex and business-critical implementations.

• Perform in-depth root cause analysis of stalled data flows, API limits, and errors in tool interfaces.

• Develop sustainable solutions and guide troubleshooting efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience in a strategic, technical, or leadership IT/Operations role.

• Experience working in a startup environment.

• Expert knowledge of a no-code platform, such as n8n or Make.

• Familiarity with webhooks, API integrations, error handling, complex data operations, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.

• Detailed understanding of relational database structures.

• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript.

• Strong root cause analysis and analytical capabilities.

• A strategic thinker with a hands-on operational approach.

• Enjoyment in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and developing early-career talent in a structured manner.
