Senior Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Map out the functional domains pertinent to the organization.

• Establish business capabilities and their role in value creation.

• Identify, elaborate on, and prioritize functional, business, data, compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements.

• Specify non-functional requirements along with performance, security, and scalability metrics.

• Choose and rationalize architectural patterns, styles, tools, and technologies.

• Formulate strategies for scalability, resilience, and high availability.

• Outline communication protocols between components, including message formats and integration responsibilities.

• Implement mechanisms for authentication, authorization, encryption, and safeguards against attacks, such as WAF.

• Evaluate the solution's effects on data, security, infrastructure, software, and other systems.

• Provide cost estimates for the solution.

• Document the architecture, create diagrams, centralize the documentation in a README, and outline future enhancements.

• Exhibit a long-term vision while discussing trade-offs and challenges.

• Establish metrics, alerts, and tools for monitoring, analysis, and visualization.

• Plan for the migration of transitional systems, taking into account risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in solution architecture projects, emphasizing systems integration and process enhancement.

• Experience in analyzing both functional and non-functional business requirements and converting them into technical solutions.

• Proficient in defining and executing architectural patterns, including microservices and message queues.

• Experience in agile development environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of systems integration patterns, APIs, and messaging.

• Strong understanding of microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, and cloud technologies.

• Knowledge of modeling tools, including UML.

• Understanding of information security, authentication, authorization, and encryption.

• Familiarity with systems monitoring and observability.

• Experience with source code version control tools, such as Git.

• Knowledge of estimating infrastructure and licensing costs.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

• Systems thinking and critical analysis capabilities.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Capacity to make data-informed technical decisions based on trade-offs.

• Skill in documenting solutions.

• Ability to provide technical leadership to development teams.
