Senior Solution Architect – Application

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete technical design of applications, which includes services, APIs, integrations, and system communication.

• Establish and direct the application architecture utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Create APIs and integrations across various systems.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams regarding architectural and technical design choices.

• Evaluate implemented solutions to ensure they align with the established architecture.

• Maintain comprehensive and practical architecture documentation that is accessible for new engineers.

• Design and support event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka.

• Engage with self-managed infrastructure instead of relying on managed cloud services.

• Contribute with a robust hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development.

• Leverage solution/application architecture knowledge within a product-company setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in owning solution or application architecture, extending beyond senior development responsibilities.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• In-depth knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture.

• Experience in designing integrations and facilitating communication among multiple systems.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka.

• Strong technical background in both backend and frontend development.

• Experience working with self-managed infrastructure as opposed to primarily depending on managed cloud services.

• Capability to document architecture in a clear and practical manner for engineering teams.

• Experience in a product company environment, rather than solely in project delivery.

• Strong aptitude for guiding engineering teams and making architectural design decisions.
