Senior Software Solution Architect – C#/.NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Define the technical framework for digital solutions merging tax advisory, auditing, and software development.

• Create internal applications aimed at automating and digitizing the firm, in addition to developing digital products and services for clients.

• Assume responsibility for the solution design and software architecture of both new and existing applications.

• Design and implement solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Web APIs.

• Establish architectural principles, interfaces, components, and data models.

• Choose between modular applications, services, and integration solutions.

• Integrate both internal and external systems through REST APIs and other interfaces.

• Enhance the GitLab-based development and delivery environment, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• Assess existing applications and system landscapes, and formulate modernization and migration strategies.

• Develop key components and prototypes hands-on while supporting code and architecture reviews.

• Convert business requirements into technical solutions and document architectural decisions.

• Utilize AI and LLM tools for requirements analysis, solution design, code generation, documentation, and test preparation.

• Review AI-generated results for quality, security, maintainability, performance, and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in software development with C# and .NET, preferably in a senior, lead, or architecture position.

• Strong expertise in solution design and the architecture of complex software systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, API, and backend development.

• Experience with data modeling, system integration, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, relational databases, and ORM technologies.

• Familiarity with the entire software lifecycle—from analysis and development to automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• A strong hands-on approach and the ability to make pragmatic architectural choices.

• High standards of quality and experience with standards, reviews, automated testing, and security evaluations.

• Fluent in German with the capability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Experience or interest in AI-assisted software development, including the strategic direction and responsible validation of AI tools.

• Ideally, a passion for data-intensive or regulated processes, as well as finance, tax, and compliance.
