This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Formulate testing strategies, outline the scope of testing efforts, and assess product requirements and engineering specifications during Agile planning.
• Design and sustain repeatable automated testing solutions alongside QA test plans.
• Create testing methodologies and automation practices that facilitate parallel enterprise software development and automated test suites.
• Integrate testing procedures with development and DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA team members, and system and database administrators to analyze test failures.
• Employ SQL queries and analyze web and application server logs to diagnose failures.
• Conduct software testing across pertinent platforms, including mobile applications.
• Enhance automation coverage, test reliability, and the overall quality of software.
• Offer technical or team leadership, share expertise in quality engineering, mentor junior team members, and address complex testing and automation issues.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise software testing or quality engineering.
• Proficient hands-on experience with test automation and knowledge of both manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience in testing software on mobile platforms and familiarity with Agile development environments.
• Background in troubleshooting intricate test failures across application, database, and testing environments; practical experience with SQL and log analysis is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud automation and DevOps practices, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to adapt to shifting priorities and collaborate effectively across technical teams.
• Proven ability to provide technical or team leadership and assist in the development of less-experienced team members.
• Capability to work remotely within Canada, with availability to align with Eastern Time hours.
