This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and enhance application workflows, feature designs, and testing protocols independently.
• Assess QA and testing software solutions, introducing innovative tools to the team.
• Provide support for core IT systems and services at Stanford Medicine.
• Oversee software design, functionality, performance, log reviews, automated alerts, performance metrics, and service metrics.
• Develop and manage application-specific workflows for handling customer requests, resource provisioning, and tracking workflow progress.
• Champion Agile best practices while serving as the product owner for selected applications.
• Present data service analytics, issue reports, and application performance metrics to leadership.
• Offer tier-2 and tier-3 support for IT system incidents.
• Assist junior team members with application incidents, maintenance tasks, and enhancement requests.
• Coordinate application support with other IT teams and engage frequently with clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff members and contractors.
• Act as a technology subject matter expert, effectively communicating technical concepts across teams.
• Manage medium- to high-complexity issues, facilitating resolution between customers and support staff.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and provide technical solutions.
• Maintain current technical project documentation.
• Investigate complex or controversial issues, developing solution options that outline risks, benefits, costs, and consequences.
• Lead team and cross-team meetings while maintaining meeting records.
• Utilize visual thinking, workshops, personas, stories, journeys, maps, experiments, and prototypes to enhance user experiences.
• Document design decisions and collaborate with business and development teams to address implementation issues and ensure quality.
• BA/BS in information technology or a business-related field from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of internet/web tools, software development, scripting languages, and database design and utilization.
• Proficient understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational design, normalization, and NoSQL databases.
• Exceptional logical processing skills with the ability to systematically identify points of failure in complex systems.
• Strong shell scripting abilities.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill to manage multiple overlapping projects.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and interpret results.
• Proficiency in identifying risks and issues.
• Capacity to collaborate and build consensus with stakeholders.
