This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of current software programmatic infrastructure against NQA-1 2008/2009a and 2022 quality standards.
• Develop software plans, procedures, and desktop instructions in alignment with NQA-1 and relevant IEEE standards.
• Revise software plans, procedures, and work instructions pertaining to design and analysis engineering, code development, procurement, and document control.
• Assist in achieving simultaneous compliance with NQA-1 2008/2009a and 2022 standards.
• Offer guidance to various departments to ensure adherence to applicable software regulations.
• Execute additional assigned responsibilities.
• A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree; a technical degree is preferred.
• Ten or more years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience related to the development and/or implementation of nuclear quality assurance programs.
• Experience in a commercial nuclear plant or the nuclear field is preferred.
• Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section III programs is advantageous.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities, with a focus on managing competing demands and priorities.
• Strong skills in technical writing.
• Proficient communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the capability to oversee complex projects with multiple phases of work.
• Experience in creating and maintaining documents in accordance with ASME NQA-1, IEEE 7-4.3.2, and US NRC Regulatory Guides related to software (1.52, 1.168, 1.169, 1.170, 1.171, 1.172, and 1.173).
• Preferred experience in code development within a quality program.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively using phone, in-person interaction, and computers.
• Quick learner capable of understanding and applying new job functions and concepts accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands to operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
• Contract position with a schedule of 40 hours per week, lasting approximately 12 months.
• Eligibility for remote work within the contiguous United States.
• Travel as necessary to meet business requirements.
