QA Engineer – Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Advocate for data quality across various platforms, pipelines, and reporting solutions.

• Test and verify data transformations, integrations, and data products.

• Create and sustain automated testing solutions.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product teams to establish quality standards and incorporate best practices.

• Examine data discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement lasting solutions.

• Validate dashboards, reports, and analytics products.

• Contribute to QA frameworks, testing methodologies, and data governance standards.

• Assist in shaping quality engineering within a contemporary cloud-based data environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Data QA, Data Engineering, Software Testing, or a related technical discipline.

• Strong SQL proficiency with the capability to validate, analyze, and troubleshoot data.

• Experience in testing data pipelines, data warehouses, reporting solutions, or analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with automated testing, scripting, or programming languages such as Python.

• Solid understanding of data quality principles.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work efficiently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborative attitude, growth mindset, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies.

• Experience with modern cloud data platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or similar technologies is highly valued.

• Candidates must reside in Malaysia and possess full working rights.
