This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary engineering response for production and support challenges during business hours.

• Assess issues based on patient impact and address critical care, prescription, and claims concerns.

• Identify and resolve bugs within the Django monolith and related services.

• Conduct safe live production data modifications, including billing, coverage, eligibility, and invoice adjustments.

• Take ownership of and enhance the admin portal and internal tools.

• Create documentation, runbooks, and diagnostic tools to facilitate Support self-service.

• Collaborate with Support, Clinical Operations, Implementations, and Engineering to convert incidents into lasting solutions.

• Monitor recurring issues related to eligibility, coverage, billing, and clinical integration.

• Oversee operational health metrics.

• Lead the Kafka-based AWS MSK Event Bus project utilizing CloudEvents and Python.

• Establish event contracts and promote the adoption of the Event Bus.

• Leverage AI coding tools to enhance analysis, data corrections, and code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Extensive, hands-on expertise in Python and Django.

• Proficient in Django REST Framework APIs, Celery async task processing, intricate ORM queries, and handling multiple databases.

• Demonstrated skills in debugging and troubleshooting in production environments.

• Familiarity with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.

• Experience managing production SaaS applications, preferably multi-tenant.

• Excellent written communication abilities.

• Self-motivated with strong ownership and prioritization capabilities.

• Proficient in using AI development tools.

• Bonus: Experience in healthcare or regulated domains, knowledge of PHI/HIPAA, Kafka, AWS MSK, event-driven architectures, HL7/FHIR, HIE platforms, RCM, ElasticSearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, SureScripts, Quest, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, or production support engineering.
