This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take charge of the complete delivery of customer-centric capabilities, from discovery and technical design through to implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring.
• Develop high-performance Node.js/TypeScript APIs and event-driven services that integrate with both internal and external systems.
• Create modern React/TypeScript web applications featuring accessible, resilient UI patterns and high-caliber state/data management.
• Enhance code quality through unit, integration, and UI testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Make informed architectural decisions considering performance, cost, security, and developer efficiency.
• Convey technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on discovery, project scoping, and defining outcomes.
• Guide engineers and refine team practices through mentorship.
• Implement, measure, and iterate using logging, tracing, dashboards, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Develop applications for LOFT Moving and the Moving Marketplace, aimed at assisting residents in their transition to new homes.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in building production-grade software.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with TypeScript in either front-end or back-end development.
• Proficient in Node.js with TypeScript, including frameworks such as Express, Fastify, or NestJS, and familiar with asynchronous patterns, performance profiling, and memory/CPU optimization.
• Skilled in React with TypeScript, covering component design, hooks, state/data management, WCAG accessibility, and testing frameworks like React Testing Library/Jest.
• Experience in designing robust REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of OAuth2/OIDC, pagination, rate limiting, and telemetry concepts.
• Proficient in Jest and integration testing methodologies.
• Strong skills in debugging and observability utilizing logs, metrics, and traces.
• Capable of leading technical discussions, drafting design documents, and influencing product strategies.
• Preferred: experience with messaging queues/streams such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, or Service Bus.
• Preferred: familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS/AKS, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Preferred: knowledge in web performance profiling, Web Vitals, CDN strategies, SRE practices, chaos testing, and OpenTelemetry.
• Preferred: experience in threat modeling, dependency scanning, SAST/DAST, and secrets management automation.
