Senior Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design intricate, cross-system integrations, including partner and alliance integration APIs.

• Establish reusable templates, standards, and automation for routine operational tasks.

• Analyze root causes and implement architectural, monitoring, or procedural improvements.

• Guide team members, including non-engineers who develop code and create automations.

• Collaborate with commercial, product, and engineering stakeholders to define solutions and evaluate technical trade-offs.

• Clarify ambiguous issues, outline work, and formulate actionable technical plans.

• Recognize risks, edge cases, security issues, and downstream effects; document insights in runbooks.

• Engage in the on-call rotation, triage and resolve member support inquiries, and support internal investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience writing clear, tested, and efficient production code.

• Strong background in Ruby on Rails, or exceptional backend engineering experience in another language with a readiness to quickly learn Rails.

• Proficient in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience in building and consuming APIs and integrations across different services.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and AI coding tools.

• Experience in creating API-driven automation workflows using Tines, n8n, or similar platforms.

• Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and deliver solutions that provide measurable value.

• Strong debugging and optimization capabilities.

• Solid understanding of SDLC processes and frameworks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.

• Background in solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing technical positions.

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading projects.

• Familiarity with React or Vue is a plus.

• Experience in healthcare or regulated/data-sensitive environments is an advantage.
