Senior Software Engineer, Simulation Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop simulation and planning capabilities to explore theoretical network scenarios.

• Allow users to modify network configurations, conditions, and assumptions to assess potential impacts.

• Construct tools for scenario comparison, understanding trade-offs, and identifying risks and opportunities prior to implementing changes.

• Build scalable and dependable systems for managing and assessing complex scenarios.

• Collaborate with Product Engineering to incorporate simulation and planning into broader product workflows.

• Design, build, test, and manage capabilities from start to finish.

• Contribute to distributed systems, algorithms, network modeling, and large-scale computation for communication networks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Golang, C/C++, or Java.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing production software systems.

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, including system design, algorithms, testing, and debugging.

• Experience with distributed, data-intensive, computational, or other complex backend systems.

• Preferably experienced in simulation, modeling, experimentation, or planning systems.

• Preferable experience in building systems that represent and evaluate complex or evolving states.

• Familiarity with networking, telecommunications, geospatial systems, or other related domains is preferred.

• Must meet U.S. government export-control eligibility requirements under ITAR/EAR.

• Must qualify as a U.S. person, be eligible to access export-controlled information without export authorization, or be qualified and reasonably likely to obtain the necessary export authorization.
