This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Integrate new blockchains, decentralized exchanges, and launchpads into the core Coinbase application.

• Design and develop first-party smart contracts for on-chain trading functionalities, including DEX aggregation and advanced order types.

• Scale real-time data pipelines to manage over 100K messages per second while ensuring millisecond-latency for blockchain market-data processing.

• Optimize the entire trading stack for rapid execution, optimal fills, and extensive asset coverage.

• Promote iteration on agentic-first development strategies, creating self-improving software systems and tools that enhance team efficiency.

• Develop software systems that integrate off-chain and on-chain environments to provide a cohesive trading experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software engineering, with a track record of building and maintaining data systems or data pipelines in production.

• Practical experience in designing data-intensive systems and working with large-scale data infrastructures such as Kafka, ClickHouse, StarRocks, Temporal, and Redis.

• Proven background in designing and integrating on-chain smart contracts on EVM (Ethereum, Base) or Solana, with a thorough understanding of the programming models of one or more of these virtual machines.

• Demonstrated capability to build, iterate upon, and enhance agentic-first code repositories and software systems in production settings.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI under human supervision to produce business-ready outputs and measurable advancements in workflow efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
