Senior Software Engineer – Product Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and maintain production features.

• Engage in roadmap features when there are no security tasks in progress.

• Assess, prioritize, and resolve security vulnerabilities in code and dependencies through a patched release.

• Analyze security-sensitive designs and conduct threat modeling for new features.

• Take part in code reviews, design evaluations, and technical discussions.

• Assist engineers in integrating secure defaults into the product.

• Act as the security authority for the product.

• Develop secure infrastructure software for AI infrastructure platforms and Kubernetes-based tenant isolation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying production systems primarily using Go.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes API server, admission control, RBAC, controllers, and kubelet.

• Experience in developing controllers or operators using controller-runtime, Kubebuilder, or client-go.

• Practical knowledge of container breakout, privilege escalation, RBAC, and policy best practices.

• Background in threat modeling and reviewing designs for production systems.

• Capability to articulate risks clearly to fellow engineers.

• Experience in investigating and remedying vulnerabilities within code.

• Understanding of the CVE lifecycle, coordinated disclosure processes, and patch releases.

• CKS certification is advantageous.

• Experience in an early-stage organization is a plus.
