Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop dependable, secure, and scalable code for Lithic's product platform while minimizing technical debt.

• Enhance system reliability and engage in the on-call rotation as part of the team.

• Take ownership of projects from conception to deployment, which includes API key management, reliability, audit logging, and search functionalities.

• Keep stakeholders updated and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead initiatives aimed at improving systems and processes within the team.

• Construct the essential API layer that supports Lithic's products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in developing production backend systems, preferably including public-facing APIs at scale.

• Familiarity with or a willingness to learn Rust; capability to understand systems developed in Python and Java.

• Interest and experience in using AI tools to boost productivity.

• Ability to handle ambiguity, reconcile diverse viewpoints, and drive towards actionable solutions.

• Proficiency in API design fundamentals and product thinking, including versioning, backward compatibility, schema-driven development, and evaluating trade-offs from the customer's perspective.

• Comfort with architecting systems from scratch and managing the product development process comprehensively.

• Excellent written communication abilities and experience in a remote, asynchronous team operating across different time zones.

• Applicants must be located in the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Poland, or Czech Republic.
