Senior Software Engineer – Platform, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop, scale, deploy, and monitor the platform consistently using Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, HBase, AWS, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to establish requirements and finalize feature development.

• Enhance delivery processes, systems, and tools; advocate for technical initiatives and strategic direction.

• Ensure project quality and planning by adhering to deadlines, breaking down tasks, and facilitating testing and monitoring.

• Guide engineers through knowledge sharing and provide feedback on pull requests and technical designs.

• Deploy and adjust production systems; engage with SQL/NoSQL data stores and NSQ messaging queues.

• Monitor the health of production services and address outages and bugs while on support duty.

• Design, maintain, scale, and construct distributed systems that manage millions of requests and messages daily.

• Lead technical architecture discussions, pinpoint technical debt and performance bottlenecks, and coordinate project dependencies.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure to enhance reliable, highly available service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 years of experience in developing and supporting software within a production environment.

• 3 years of experience in programming using object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Preferred: 3 years of experience in developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services.

• Preferred: 3 years of experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

• Preferred: Proficient in Polish, both verbally and in writing.
