Senior Software Engineer – NWX Networx

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate full-stack web applications that cater to millions of users.

• Assist in modernizing a legacy monolithic Applicant Tracking System into a cloud-native application on Azure.

• Design and implement scalable systems, multi-service integrations, high-traffic APIs, and data processing pipelines.

• Take ownership of significant features or entire components, from initial concept to production support.

• Lead technical discussions and shape architecture decisions.

• Set architectural patterns, standards, development tools, and engineering best practices.

• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer for the systems you manage.

• Facilitate story refinement sessions with Product Owners for estimation and risk evaluation.

• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver effective business solutions.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies to enhance delivery predictability.

• Identify and address technical debt and opportunities for system improvements.

• Advocate for TDD/BDD, automated testing, shift-left testing, and security practices.

• Lead the troubleshooting of complex software issues and manage production incidents.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

• Establish standards for code reviews and assess complex features.

• Promote continuous improvement and responsible AI adoption through team governance.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure high-quality delivery across containerized, scalable web products.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in professional software development.

• Strong expertise in ASP.NET MVC, or a solid understanding with a focus on backend specialization.

• Proficient in .NET Core, C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, REST, application architectures, and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, CosmosDB, and data architecture decision-making.

• Experience integrating AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Devin, and Claude Code into engineering workflows.

• Advanced implementation experience with DataDog, Application Insights, or Amazon CloudWatch, including performance tuning and cost optimization.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or AWS CloudFormation/CDK.

• Proven experience designing comprehensive CI/CD architectures and deployment strategies.

• Strong proficiency in SaaS utilizing Azure or AWS services, along with infrastructure design and performance optimization skills.

• Experience with Docker containerization or Kubernetes in production-scale deployments.

• Expertise in clean architecture, SOLID design principles, and domain-driven design.

• Experience in advocating for TDD/BDD and implementing thorough automated testing.

• Background in developing highly scalable, internet-facing solutions that serve millions of users.

• Experience with application profiling and benchmarking.

• Confident with vulnerability management, threat modeling, and tracking.

• Knowledge of observability, production support, debugging intricate issues, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.

• Proven ability to deliver complex solutions across multiple systems.

• Demonstrated technical leadership through architectural decisions, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.

• Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple sprints or quarters.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
