Senior Software Engineer, Nexus Server

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement essential backend service functionalities for Nexus.

• Take ownership of distributed systems elements, including durable execution, asynchronous processing, and workflow invocation through recognized industry protocols.

• Ensure comprehensive unit, integration, and performance testing coverage.

• Record design decisions and operational insights for deployment and operational purposes.

• Generate service-level logs and metrics to facilitate cloud service configurations.

• Establish alerts, dashboards, and runbooks for production environments.

• Work collaboratively within the Compute and Artificial Intelligence organization to create an enterprise solution for on-premise and dedicated cloud settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a production setting as an "Arranger" and/or "Builder/Enhancer" of highly scalable distributed systems.

• Strong foundation in computer science principles related to distributed systems, including multi-threading and concurrency.

• Over 2 years of experience in developing customer-facing APIs and frameworks.

• Proven experience in writing concurrent code for production use.

• High proficiency in Go, Java, or other relevant programming languages at an Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert level.

• Capability to design, develop, and maintain backend functionality for highly scalable, multi-tenant services.
