Senior Software Engineer – New Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Create a highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage platform.

• Design and improve middle- and back-office systems, utilizing gRPC microservices, a React-based user interface, and integrations with third-party vendors.

• Upgrade and evolve the core framework to accommodate multiple languages, currencies, and markets.

• Work collaboratively with technical leads from various regions both synchronously and asynchronously, including occasional meetings outside of standard working hours.

• Diagnose incidents and address reported bugs to ensure the system's integrity and performance.

• Understand regulatory requirements and develop scalable solutions that facilitate international expansion.

• Act as the operational reliability and engineering lead, as well as the incident commander during regional business hours.

• Engage in on-call support for engineering projects as needed.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive approach.

• Proficient in Go or similar backend programming languages, with a strong focus on designing robust and efficient system architectures.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams, local regulators, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Capability to assume the role of incident commander and lead the resolution of incidents or bugs decisively.

• Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and a proven track record in software engineering architecture.

• Ability to work autonomously within a fully remote, globally distributed team and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to convert technical concepts into actionable business strategies.

• Experience with event-driven design principles.
