Senior Software Engineer – .NET, C#

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services utilizing C# and .NET Core.

• Implement API-First design principles to create scalable, maintainable, and reusable services.

• Establish and uphold API specifications to guarantee consistency, discoverability, and seamless integration across applications.

• Develop and enhance data access layers using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Front-End, QA, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into dependable technical solutions.

• Employ software engineering best practices, including clean coding, design patterns, automated testing, and version control.

• Contribute to CI/CD processes and the ongoing enhancement of development workflows.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate application performance, scalability, and integration challenges.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical guidance and mentorship to fellow developers.

• Engage in architectural discussions concerning backend services, API governance, and system integration.

• Ensure applications conform to quality, performance, security, and maintainability standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in software development using C# and .NET Core.

• Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs following API-First design principles.

• Proficient in SQL Server, with expertise in database schema design, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Practical experience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core (EF Core).

• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and unit testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

• Strong understanding of backend architecture, service integration, and scalable application design.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud services.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience with message queues, caching mechanisms, or distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Swagger / OpenAPI, API documentation, and API versioning.

• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.
