Senior Software Engineer, Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Strategize, design, and execute features for Fleetio’s Marketplace platform.

• Assist fleets and workshops in scheduling, completing, and processing payments for vehicle and equipment services.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers.

• Participate in joint feature design and system architecture discussions.

• Produce well-tested, maintainable, and high-performance code.

• Conduct research and develop prototypes to validate assumptions and assess technical viability.

• Play a significant role in development and planning activities.

• Review peer code for quality assurance, consistency, and knowledge sharing.

• Report directly to the Web Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a software engineer.

• More than 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails.

• At least 2 years of experience with ReactJS and Typescript.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in consuming and integrating external systems, APIs, and/or webhooks.

• Skilled in data modeling and enhancing query performance.

• Solid experience in addressing complex architectural challenges with effective design.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.

• Outstanding communication abilities, particularly in writing.
