Senior Software Engineer – Kotlin/Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop high-throughput, low-latency applications tailored for communication use cases.

• Design scalable microservices to facilitate Vonage's growth initiatives.

• Write efficient and scalable code within well-tested frameworks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration and functionality.

• Suggest scalable, maintainable, and cost-efficient solutions.

• Assess the effort needed to develop and implement new features.

• Create and execute effective testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Enhance RCS channel functionality.

• Exceptional software engineering skills in Kotlin/Java for backend services.

• Strong emphasis on testing, paired with a customer-first approach.

• Experience with multi-threaded architectures, web services, and caching mechanisms.

• Practical experience in deploying code within a modern programming environment using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

• Proficiency in Kotlin, particularly with Spring Boot Reactive.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• Experience with Kafka and Redis.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability practices.
