Senior Software Engineer – Javascript, Ad Tech Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior hands-on developer, delivering and deploying production code on a daily basis.

• Evaluate the pull requests of colleagues and collaborate with fellow engineers to uphold codebase integrity.

• Function as a subject matter expert on Prebid.js and Prebid Server, encompassing wrapper architecture, bid adapters, as well as identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.

• Track releases of Prebid.js and Prebid Server, changes to the OpenRTB specification, and the evolution of header bidding standards; convert these into platform enhancements and upgrades.

• Take full ownership of the header bidding wrapper from start to finish, managing architecture, release cycles, feature integration, and design choices.

• Collaborate with Google Ad Manager, GPT, and the IMA SDK, focusing on line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified auction dynamics, and Unified Pricing Rules.

• Ensure high-quality JavaScript and TypeScript client-side scripts function effectively across thousands of publisher sites.

• Monitor and safeguard Core Web Vitals, including INP, LCP, and CLS, along with memory usage, script execution time, and network overhead.

• Take responsibility for deployed solutions, ensuring reliability and addressing critical issues to maintain system stability and performance.

• Report directly to the Engineering Manager and make independent contributions to key projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Prebid.js — including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and modules such as identity, consent, floors, and analytics.

• Comprehensive understanding of the auction lifecycle.

• Proficient experience with Prebid Server — involving stored requests, server-side adapter configuration, s2s routing, and more.

• Solid working knowledge of Google Ad Manager, covering GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, dynamic allocation, and additional aspects.

• Over 4 years of JavaScript development experience, with significant expertise in TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) for deploying and managing high-throughput services.

• Broad understanding of ad tech, including OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity solutions and EIDs, consent frameworks (TCF/GPP), Amazon TAM/APS, and video (IMA SDK/VAST).

• Strong background in asynchronous programming and a solid grasp of client-server architecture.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a distributed team environment.

• Exceptional technical documentation and communication skills.

• Capacity for creativity and contribution based on individual merit.

• Contributions to the Prebid.js or Prebid Server open-source repositories would be a plus.
