Senior Software Engineer, Java Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop robust, efficient, and scalable backend code primarily utilizing Java.

• Design, create, document, and implement REST APIs for seamless integration with internal microservices, frontend applications, and external partners.

• Write and enhance complex SQL queries using leading relational database management systems such as MySQL.

• Oversee version control through Git and GitHub, ensuring a clean code history, effective branching, merging, and collaborative code reviews.

• Play a key role in modernizing architecture and transitioning to scalable services for optimal performance.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development, with specialized, hands-on expertise in creating and maintaining enterprise Java applications.

• Strong skillset in SQL and relational database design using a prominent RDBMS like MySQL.

• Demonstrated professional experience in constructing and utilizing RESTful web services.

• Solid, practical knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows, including branching strategies, merging, and conflict resolution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
