This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, develop, and sustain secure native iOS applications and features utilizing Swift.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design choices within Keeper’s iOS codebase.
• Maintain and update existing Objective-C components when necessary.
• Create scalable, reusable, and maintainable mobile components.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication processes, and secure data storage.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Diagnose complex application issues using logs, profiling tools, and runtime diagnostics.
• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive technical feedback.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Design, QA, and backend teams to outline requirements and deliver features.
• Enhance automated testing, build reliability, and release quality.
• Assist with App Store release processes, beta testing, and validation of new iOS functionalities.
• Maintain technical documentation for architecture, features, and development workflows.
• Assess emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, and platform capabilities.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools like Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.
• Over 5 years of professional iOS software development experience.
• Solid hands-on experience in developing production applications with Swift.
• Familiarity with Objective-C and experience in maintaining or integrating with existing Objective-C code.
• Proven experience in designing and launching large or complex iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
• Experience with AI in the context of iOS development, including good prompting skills and troubleshooting with AI.
• Strong understanding of iOS application architecture, lifecycle, concurrency, and state management.
• Experience in integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and distributed services.
• Comprehensive understanding of mobile performance, memory management, debugging, and profiling.
• Proficient with Xcode and Apple development, debugging, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with automated build and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
• Strong grasp of Git-based development workflows, code reviews, and issue tracking.
• Experience in writing maintainable automated tests for mobile applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on code quality, security, architecture, and maintainability.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with an aptitude for effective collaboration across Engineering, Product, Design, and QA teams.
• Ability and willingness to effectively utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
