Senior Software Engineer – Investments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.

📋 Description

• Lead impactful, cross-functional initiatives within the Investments domain.

• Design, develop, and enhance brokerage trading and custody systems and processes.

• Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams to deliver features for both customers and internal stakeholders.

• Exhibit strong product ownership and contribute to shaping and building the future of Mercury.

• Create scalable, innovative, and compliant Trading & Custody systems that support Treasury and Investment products.

• Equip the internal Investment Operations team with effective and efficient tools.

• Provide technical guidance in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in backend development.

• Strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail.

• In-depth knowledge of broker-dealer trading and custody systems.

• Experience with systems that cater to individual securities (equities, fixed income), ETFs, and mutual funds.

• Understanding of scalability principles.

• Proficiency with AWS and infrastructure solutions.

• Proven experience as a technical lead on complex projects with multiple stakeholders from start to finish.

• A history of successfully delivering projects.

• Experience in making architectural decisions and assessing their long-term impact.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical viewpoints and discuss trade-offs.
