Senior Software Engineer – Intelligent Platforms, Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain distributed systems and microservices.

• Construct, integrate, and enhance intelligent agents and AI-driven services utilizing LLMs and automation frameworks.

• Define and execute patterns for agent orchestration, system interactions, and decision-making workflows.

• Promote the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and "controls-as-code" methodologies.

• Collaborate with systems engineers and ISSEs to incorporate requirements and security into platform design and coding.

• Establish development standards for collaboration, testing, and documentation using GitHub.

• Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical support.

• Lead the integration of CI/CD pipelines, security tools, and ATO considerations into daily development practices.

• Work with stakeholders to translate mission and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Represent infrastructure, automation, agent behavior, workflows, and operational artifacts as version-controlled, testable code.

• Define and advocate for patterns that express intent, requirements, automation, and controls as code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in designing and building complex or distributed systems.

• Strong practical experience in developing backend services and microservices.

• Experience with AI/ML systems, particularly LLM integration in production settings.

• Solid foundation in cloud-native architectures and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience delivering software within secure, regulated, or compliance-oriented environments.

• Ability to connect software development, systems engineering, and security disciplines effectively.

• Excellent technical communication and leadership abilities.

• Must possess and uphold a Secret security clearance.

• Experience in building agent-based or autonomous systems in production.

• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and patterns, including tool-using agents and multi-agent systems.

• Experience supporting ATO through automation, documentation, and technical leadership.

• Active Security+ certification or an equivalent IAT Level II certification.

• Proven background in mentoring engineers and guiding technical decision-making.

• Experience applying "as code" methodologies beyond infrastructure, such as configuration-as-code, policy-as-code, workflows-as-code, and documentation-as-code.
