This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and enhance ClickHouse’s Python connector and SDK ecosystem.

• Lead the AI/LLM integration strategy for RAG architectures, ML feature pipelines, and LLM-driven data applications.

• Create robust, production-ready connectors for ClickHouse’s AI and ML ecosystem.

• Actively participate in the open-source community by addressing issues, supporting contributors, advocating for users, and influencing the roadmap.

• Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and engineering teams to establish integration priorities.

• Incorporate perspectives from Data Engineer and Data Scientist workflows into roadmap decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development, including practical experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations for at least one major platform.

• Production experience utilizing AI/ML in data-engineering contexts, such as embedding generation, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM-powered tools.

• Proficient in the Python data ecosystem, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic, and others.

• Strong foundation in databases, including SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and knowledge of OLAP/analytical databases.

• Experience with concurrent Python programming, including threading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous patterns.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with ClickHouse or comparable high-performance OLAP platforms.

• Knowledge of the JVM ecosystem is advantageous.

• Experience in deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases.

• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect is a plus.
