Senior Software Engineer II, Route Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop comprehensive features across both frontend and backend for various customer sectors.

• Utilize AI to create prototypes, facilitate customer transactions, and expedite risk-mitigating refactors.

• Collaborate with the engineering manager and senior engineers to champion technical excellence.

• Work alongside the product manager and designer to create effective planner interfaces and APIs.

• Guide junior engineers and contribute to the development of a robust technical team.

• Assess efficiency within Routing products, including route execution and commercial navigation.

• Engage in customer interviews and coordinate with customer success and product management teams.

• Apply metrics to ensure engineering efforts enhance customer results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven capability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with both technical audiences and customers.

• Established experience in shaping and enhancing routing and navigation products.

• Background in mentoring junior engineers.

• History of succeeding in 0→1 teams and scaling them beyond the startup phase.

• Experience in a tech lead role or a similar technical position that significantly influences the output of other engineers.

• Openness to interact directly with customers when necessary.

• Must be residing in the US or Canada.
