This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Design and develop features and experiments for Android aimed at growth and monetization, including subscription paywalls, pricing tests, ad placements, mediation experiments, in-app purchase flows, and upsell/upgrade interfaces.
β’ Conduct multiple concurrent tests within the Life360 application.
β’ Collaborate with product management, design, data science, and analytics teams to transform hypotheses into deployable experiments and leverage results for decision-making.
β’ Coordinate AI agents to produce specifications, generate code and tests, validate results, and carry out reviews.
β’ Ensure accurate instrumentation of experiments via exposure logging and analytics.
β’ Deliver high-performance and reliable Android experiences to millions of users.
β’ Rapidly convert vague or partially defined ideas into functional versions for actual users.
β’ Establish and formalize AI-native Android engineering practices and guidelines.
β’ Engage in architectural decision-making, code reviews, technical standards, and ongoing enhancements.
β’ Take part in on-call rotation and incident management for mobile experiments and releases.
β’ Mentor fellow engineers and enhance team processes along with AI-native engineering methodologies.
β’ Over 6 years of experience in Android software engineering with a focus on deploying production applications at a consumer scale.
β’ Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in prompting, assessing, and developing with large language models (LLMs).
β’ Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android View system.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Android Studio, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow.
β’ Proficient in MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Jetpack/ViewModel/Navigation, and Hilt or Dagger.
β’ Familiarity with feature flagging, A/B testing, exposure logging, holdouts, and guardrail metrics.
β’ Experience utilizing tools like Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto/Systrace, Macrobenchmark, and Crashlytics or their equivalents.
β’ Knowledge of Android CI/CD processes, Gradle, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar tools, along with modular build systems.
β’ In-depth experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context-window management, and MCP/function calling.
β’ A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
β’ Proficient use of AI coding tools as a professional standard, including analysis, coding, refactoring, testing, codebase navigation, and documentation.
β’ Capability to review AI-generated code and assume responsibility for delivered work.
