Senior Software Engineer II, Marketing Enablement

📋 Description

• Lead the technical roadmap and architectural strategies for the team.

• Develop reusable and scalable systems to meet current and future marketing requirements.

• Improve developer productivity through the implementation of processes, tools, and abstractions.

• Oversee team-wide initiatives and strategic engineering projects.

• Collaborate with senior leaders in Product and Marketing on product design and technical decisions.

• Advocate for observability, resilience, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, cost optimization, and security-by-design principles.

• Provide mentorship to engineers up to Level 5.

• Document processes and address cross-team execution obstacles.

• Act as a domain expert in marketing technology throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in leading technical roadmaps and making architectural decisions at the team level.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python programming.

• Capability to design and implement reusable abstractions, frameworks, and design patterns.

• Extensive technical understanding of scalable and high-throughput systems.

• In-depth knowledge of observability, cost efficiency, and security practices.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior Product and Marketing leaders.

• A history of enhancing team productivity through process improvements, tooling, and mentorship.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities.

• Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development infrastructure and tools.

• Preferred: expertise in advertising technology platforms and marketing technology ecosystems.

• Preferred: experience in modernizing large-scale legacy systems.

• Preferred: familiarity with coding standards, architectural patterns, and technical review processes.

• Preferred: contributions during crises beyond core technical expertise.
