Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assess the current production codebase for potential risks related to architecture, security, scalability, and reliability.

• Suggest practical enhancements prior to prioritizing significant new feature development.

• Take ownership of features from end-to-end, encompassing data modeling, architecture, building, deploying, and shipping.

• Engage with the entire stack, with an emphasis on backend development.

• Contribute to the Vue frontend development and enhance the platform's visual appeal.

• Leverage AI coding agents to expedite development while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and maintainability.

• Design, automate, and perform functional, regression, load, and smoke testing.

• Recognize and communicate technical risks at an early stage.

• Design and refine Prisma schemas and PostgreSQL data models.

• Collaborate on integrations including Stripe Connect, LiveKit, Twilio, Zoom, Anthropic, and pgvector.

• Assist in managing and expanding a Google Apps Script reporting layer.

• Conduct testing, debugging, and deployment of features.

• Review pull requests and uphold a consistent standard of engineering excellence.

• Monitor production systems and engage in triage and incident resolution.

• Enhance existing code for better reliability, maintainability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-9+ years of software engineering experience with Nuxt or Vue, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI coding agents within a production codebase.

• Proven expertise in systems architecture and influencing structural decisions for production systems.

• Strong background in testing, including functional, regression, load, and smoke testing.

• Experience in automating test suites.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and work within an existing codebase before considering a rewrite or redesign.

• Highly organized and self-reliant.

• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment with shifting requirements.

• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth startup atmosphere.

• Experience taking complete ownership of features from concept to production deployment.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-6 hours during an 8-5 or 9-6 MST schedule.
